Strassing Crystal Part 8: Classic & Timeless Clutch

My 2nd Commission project from my dearest friend, Chan Yen; she loves swarovski crystal and Judith Leiber as much as I do. We both have looked at Judith Leiber beautiful collection and they are one thing we notice that most of the clutches are strassed with only 1 size of crystal. Chan Yen likes the reflection of the multi sizes of crystal on my CL pair so she requested her black satin clutch to be strassed in various sizing of crystals. Chan. What more classic and elegant than black?!?! I think black clutch is one the staple piece that every women should have in her wardrobe. I strassed my heart out on this one. Although the process for this project is simple, the total labor hours are equivalent to strassing a pair of CL. The frame of the clutch is hard case with silver hardware; therefore, it requires more time and precision to place crystal on the sides. I strassed with Jet crystals and in various sizes like the Contax project.

I am so happy that I got the opportunity to strass my friend’s clutch and transformed an ordinary clutch into a very classy and elegance one. When Chan Yen wear to clutch to special occasion or travel elsewhere with her, I feel that presence is there with her. Enjoy and wear it with great health!
