I just return from a nice family vacation and I am still playing catch up with work and projects. I really could use another vacation from my vacation. LOL. This strassing project was completed just hours before I headed out to catch the flight. I did not posted prior as I wanted to keep it as a surprise for the recipent. I made this as a gift for one of my husband best friend older daughter, Eleanor.
I really wasn’t quite sure what is the most popular color for girls beside pink. As you know me by now, I do like statement and bold color. Why not making something is eye catching?!?! Dorothy, the Wizard of Oz red magically shoes pop into my mind. Eleanor’s parents also have little cute dog; she can dress up as Dorothy for Halloween in this flats
I decided to get the shoes 1/2 size larger than in current size. The shoes was orginally pale pink; therefore, I have to paint red with Jacquard Textile Color in #106 True Red. I applied three coats of paint and allowing each coat each time first before applying another coat. I useed Swarovski Hyacith 2028 and the flats turn out lovely. Total number of crystals were ~2950 four different sizes.
